Members of organized real estate are working together to make a difference in their communities by volunteering their time and raising funds for a diverse array of causes and charities close to their hearts. All of these initiatives proudly fall under the umbrella of “REALTORS Care®” – a guiding principle and a brand that celebrates and unites the great philanthropic work being done by REALTORS®, real estate boards, associations and broker offices across this country.
The term “REALTORS Care®” originated in Vancouver in the 1990s when the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) hosted its inaugural REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive.

Looking for the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation?
In November 2017, the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation – a charitable organization supported financially and administratively by CREA since 2007 – was replaced by a new CREA committee that governs our national REALTORS Care®program.
The Foundation’s remaining funds – $75,000 – were donated to the Canadian Red Cross, a charity the REALTOR® community has raised over $1 million for since 2013.
The REALTOR® community can rest assured CREA is committed to continuing to tell their giving stories and promote further community involvement. We will also continue to launch national fundraising appeals in response to select disasters. Since we no longer have our own charity, all funds raised will be collected directly by the beneficiary charities.
