The Lafflines Comedy Club shook with laughter on March 5 as 115 people enjoyed the inaugural comedy fundraiser hosted by Sutton–Premier Realty. The event raised $2,100 for their Surrey Christmas Bureau project – a volunteer-run, charitable organization dedicated to helping low-income families over the holidays.

Over the past several years, Sutton–Premier Realty has raised more than $30,000 to provide food, toys and other Christmas gifts to people in need. Last Christmas, they delivered holiday joy to 15 families, including 25 children.

“The atmosphere at the comedy fundraiser was amazing and the headliner, Sunny Dhaliwal, had us all laughing so hard, we all left feeling happier and energized,” said broker Larry Anderson.

“Sutton Premier wants to thank everyone who attended our fundraiser. We got such a great response that we will definitely being doing this again next year!”

Anderson and the team at Sutton–Premier Realty extend their thanks to sponsors and TD Mortgage Specialists Karman Virk, Abdul Safi and Reenu Dhaliwal. They also appreciate the hospitality of the management and staff at Lafflines Comedy Club.

The Fun Team at this Sutton office is busy all year-round coming up with creative ways to raise money for their charitable efforts, in particular the Surrey Christmas Bureau. They have hosted poker nights, sold lottery tickets at a baseball tournament and sold grocery gift cards among other projects. They typically raise several thousands of dollars annually for charity.
