Three members of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) were recognized for their charitable spirit during the board’s annual general meeting held in March.
The 2017 REALTORS Care® Awards recipients are Cody Dreger, with RE/MAX of Nanaimo; Ron Mehan, with RE/MAX First Realty; and Lindy Skudnik, with 460 Realty. All three received awards for their commitment to the REALTORS Care® philosophy and principles, demonstrated by their generous volunteerism and community service. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, VIREB donated $500 to each recipient’s chosen charity.
Throughout the year, members of organized real estate work together to make a difference in their communities by volunteering time and raising funds for a diverse array of causes and charities. Many of these initiatives fall under the REALTORS Care® umbrella, a guiding principle and brand that celebrate the great philanthropic work done by Canadian REALTORS®; real estate boards and associations; and broker offices.
