The Saint John, New Brunswick office of RE/MAX Professionals hosted a highly successful fundraising event for the IWK Health Centre on October 15.
The event, called the “Steak & Stein,” included a steak and beer dinner and an auction. Over 140 tickets were sold, and over 150 auction prizes were available to lucky bidders.
One of the most popular auction items, a t-shirt worn by one of the members of the popular rock band “The Playdates,” sold for over $200.
According to RE/MAX Professionals Broker Gordon Breau, this event, which raised over $11,500, was a great success because of the teamwork involved.
“Everyone got involved, from ticket sales, to prize donations, and even acting as auctioneers,” said Gordon. “It was a busy, fun-filled night that resulted in a huge success. We’re really proud of it.”
The money will be sent to the IWK, which serves families all over Maritime Canada.
