REALTORS® from Century 21 Reynard Help Raise $78,000 for Local Hospital Foundation

The Fifth Annual Boobie Nights fundraising social and dance, organized by Century 21 Reynard Real Estate, took place on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in Kenora, Ontario. The sold-out event featured an auction, 50/50 draw, and live music from Big Boogaloo with David Caissy.

A new attraction at this year’s event was a VIP Lounge, with a special tent, bar, and waiters serving those willing to pay a bit extra. This was a huge success, with all 60 of the $125 VIP tickets sold.

This year’s event raised $78,000, all of which will be donated to Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation’s digital imaging campaign for the mammography and chemotherapy departments. This brings the annual event’s grand fundraising total to an amazing $244,000 in five years.

“It amazes me each year that we hold this event the generosity and support we receive from our small community of 15,000 people,” says Bill Scribilo, Broker of Record with Century 21 Reynard. “From the organizers, the volunteers, our sponsors, and the attendees, it’s a huge community effort.”

Organizing a big fundraising event can be challenging, but Bill explains that the end result is worth all the effort: “There are some long hectic days leading up to the event that make you wonder if it is all worthwhile, but when it all comes together there is no better feeling than being able to give back to our community for those that are really going through some tough days fighting for their lives against a relentless disease. It really puts our day to day troubles into perspective.”
