REALTORS® in Cambridge Raise Funds to “Strike Out” Bullying

The Cambridge Association of REALTORS® Inc. has won the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region’s 2012 Overall Real Estate Challenge Award for raising the most pledges for the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign between Cambridge and Kitchener. The total amount pledged by the Association’s members was $1,905.00. The team from Royal LePage Crown Realty Services was also recognized for raising the most funds of all the real estate offices within Cambridge.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region raised a grand total of $107,000 this year with the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign, which is a unique fundraising initiative that challenges members of the community and businesses to “step up and strike out” bullying in Canada by supporting the work of volunteer Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The campaign pitted a number of businesses, including REALTORS®, banks, supermarkets, legal, financial, and insurance companies, against each other with the common goal of raising money for this important cause.
