The Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association is thrilled with the success of the Sponsor a Stud Campaign that saw the Association commit to selling 250 studs – for a $50 donation – to be used to construct a Habitat for Humanity home on Hamilton Street in Lindsay, Ontario. The Dunsford and Lindsay Lions Clubs, local bands, the public and the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation helped the Association surpass its goal and raise $14,475. Construction on the five home project is expected to begin in the spring.
Established in 2002, Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization. They offer low-income families a hand-up, not a hand-out, giving them the ability to build wealth and hope through home ownership.
