The REALTOR® with Edmonton’s Royal LePage Noralta Real Estate once again kept his clippers at home for his cross-country fundraising initiative, Beards on Ice, which raises money for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.

For the third year in a row, Aulenbach packed up his skates to tour cities across Canada, skating at public rinks while sporting his now-famous facial hair. From Jan. 19 to March 2, he stopped in 11 cities to host skating parties with his colleagues and friends, and raised more than $5,000 for his cause.

“I am so grateful to enjoy a safe and secure home,” Aulenbach said. “I hope that through our efforts more people can have the same.”

Skaters and supporters from the sidelines made donations to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. In just three years, the event has raised more than $23,000,  all of which funded domestic violence prevention and education programs.

For his efforts, Aulenbach was recognized with the 2017 Shelter Award for Individual of the Year in Alberta.
