Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty in Victoria, British Columbia, held its “best ever” Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Golf Party on September 13.

The 12th year of the event included a round of golf, dinner, 50/50 draw, door prizes, and silent and live auctions. With more than 100 participants and the support of generous sponsors, a record breaking $27,163.68 was raised for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. One hundred percent of the proceeds will help support four Victoria area women’s transition houses: Victoria Women’s Transition House, The Cridge Transition House for Women, Margaret Laurence House and the Sooke Transition House Society.

“Those shelters are critically important in helping to break the cycle of domestic violence and provide a starting point for women and children to start working towards a better, safer future,” states a post made by Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty on Facebook.

The tournament was made possible by 116 golfers, 56 hole sponsors, 9 gold sponsors, 2 hole-in-one contest sponsors, cash donors, and the many prize and auction items donors.

Organizing committee members Sarah West, Matt Green, Bill Ethier, Sharen Warde, Murray Lawson, Sandra Govender, Tara Lynn, Andrew Whidden and Larry Pistell look forward to bringing the popular event back in 2017.
