Charity Work Keeps Saint John, NB REALTORS® Busy in May

Food for the needy, a children’s summer camp, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and a local women’s shelter were four charities that benefited from the good works done by Saint John REALTORS® during the month of May.

On May 29, REALTOR® Kelly DeCourcey from RE/MAX Professionals Saint John was one of 40 volunteers who helped collect three and a half tones of food for the needy at a food drive in the Greater Saint John Area.

That same day, Dave Edgar, an able-bodied REALTOR® from Southwestern New Brunswick, hit the road in a wheelchair marathon to raise awareness of the importance of accessible housing, and to raise money to make a cabin at a local children’s camp wheelchair accessible. So far, $3,000.00 has been raised to help the worthwhile cause.

Also that day, REALTORS® from RE/MAX Professionals Saint John raised over $2,079.00 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation by hosting a yard sale.

Earlier in the month, and despite being plagued by heavy rains, the Royal LePage Atlantic team in the Saint John Real Estate Board raised over $500.00 for Hestia House – a local woman’s shelter.
