For single mothers, it’s a safe place to stay. For the REALTORS® at the Kerrisdale Sutton Group – West Coast office in Vancouver, British Columbia, it was the right thing to do, to support women and children in their community. All the agents from the office pitched in and together donated $1,000.00 as a Christmas gift to the residents of Munroe House.
YWCA Munroe House is a place of safety and support for women who have experienced abuse in an intimate relationship and their children. They help women and their children overcome the trauma of abuse with emotional support, legal aid and other specialized services. Munroe House features 10 one-bedroom apartments and families are welcome to stay for up to nine months. 1 unit is reserved for a woman without children.
