EXIT Realty PEI recently sponsored “An Evening of Wine and Song for Anderson House”, a fundraising event in support of Anderson House, a provincially-run emergency shelter for women and children. The black-tie event featured live entertainment, a reception, auction and door prizes.

A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool. EXIT Realty PEI applied to have its sponsorship funds of $718 matched by the fund and a total donation of $1,436 was made to Anderson House.

“EXIT Realty PEI has supported initiatives for Anderson House in the past and continues to believe this organization is an important part of the Island community,” said Franchisee Carol O’Hanley. “Having an emergency shelter for women and children experiencing abuse is an unfortunate, but necessary need. Since the organization and its board of directors are tasked with raising more than $200,000 each year to balance their operating budget, we see the value of sponsoring such events as this. Each year, EXIT Realty PEI sets aside funds for important community initiatives such as this one. We were honoured to be asked to be the major sponsor and are pleased it will help raise public awareness on family violence prevention while raising much needed funds.”
